GirlsBuild is an initiative of LA Promise Fund.

How it Works

LA Promise Fund selects up to 60 teams nationwide to compete in the GirlsBuild Project. Each team selected to participate will receive grant funding and training to implement an organic, community-based, and data-driven solution to their challenge. Coordinators (school or non-profit organization staff) will receive a stipend to support the project. All projects must incorporate civic engagement that extends beyond their school, and must center around three issue pillars: Civic Engagement, Health & Wellness, and STEM & Digital Skills.

Participating teams will create a website, develop social media campaigns, and use professional communication tools to share their progress throughout the program.
