Media Releases
Submission Deadline: November 12, 2024 and on a rolling-basis thereafter for added members
Each GirlBuild team will be documenting their project process with photographs, videos, and interviews of all members. In order to facilitate this, we are asking site coordinators to collect signed media releases from all team members ahead of time.
Pre-Surveys
Submission Deadline: October 25, 2024 (Coordinator & Student)
Pre-Surveys help us measure student impact and tailor our programming. We use survey data to report out students' progress to our grant funders.
Please make sure each GirlsBuild member fills out their individual survey. (Note: each program has their specific sections so please make sure to select "GirlsBuild" as the correct program).
Brainstorming Your ProjectUse the Active Civic Engagement Guide and the budget template below to begin brainstorming the impact you want your GirlsBuild team project to have.
We are building a movement of civically engaged students through GirlsBuild. We hope that GirlsBuild can be your platform to get involved and make a difference in your community, in whatever area you are most passionate about. |
Where Do I Start? |
Active Civic Engagement
How can your GirlsBuild team expand your project beyond the walls of your school? Use the Active Civic Engagement Guide to think about what civic engagement looks like for your team to incorporate within your project.

Resource Guide
Retreat Dates: Will Vary
We have a GirlsBuild Resource Guide to get your team going. We recommend hosting a team retreat to complete project deliverables. Retreats are planned by each team and their site coordinator. Make sure to consider how much time you need. We recommend taking a few hours to sit down and really start to plan with your team.

Project Planning Phase
Planning Phase Submission Deadline: December 2, 2024
December 2, 2024 marks the project planning phase submission deadline for Year 10. In no way do we expect your project to be perfect by this deadline.
Rather, we are checking your team's progress in planning out your project/budget for the spring. We are checking that your team has laid out the foundation of your website and social media platform.
This is a way for us to get an idea of how far you have come along in your project and what guidance we can offer.
