GirlsBuild #WhateverTheyWant

Started in 2014 as an initiative of the LA Promise Fund, GirlsBuild has quickly established itself as one of the most powerful and impactful female youth initiatives of our time.

The impact of our programs has been immediate and immense, both in the lives of our girls, as well as their communities.

GirlsBuild Summit is an interactive experience designed to ENGAGE, INSPIRE, and EMPOWER over 5,000 young girls of color from middle schools and high schools nationwide.

We bring them together with today's most powerful leaders, entrepreneurs, innovators, and change-makers to tackle the critical issues that shape the lives of our girls and our communities.

Some of our past speakers include: Michelle Obama, Kamala Harris, Hillary Clinton, Janelle Monáe, Octavia Spencer, Dolores Huerta, Shonda Rhimes, and more.

Last year, the LA Promise Fund teamed up with a coalition of organizations and service providers to support the unhoused community in LA County at the 2023 GirlsBuild Summit.
