TRANSPORTATION FOR THE EXPO
Girls Build LA Expo on Saturday, 5/13/17, 8:30am - 2:00pm at West Adams Prep High School and refer to the appropriate instructions per vehicle you are bringing.
ARRIVAL & SET-UP
LAUSD SCHOOLS
If you are an LAUSD school, you need only to receive principal and parental approval for the field trip to West Adams Prep HS on 5/13/17. You do not need to secure approval from LAUSD Risk Management. We are working with LAUSD transportation and will get back to you soon to make bus arrangements.
NON-LAUSD SCHOOLS
Please book your transportation for this event. LA Promise Fund will reimburse the cost of bus up to $400. Anything beyond this amount will not be reimbursed. You may work with whichever vendor you choose, including any of those listed on LAUSD’s list of approved charter buses companies.

BUSES AND OVERSIZED VEHICLES: Buses and oversized vehicles are to drop-off students and guests on Washington Blvd. (front of the school). There will be event staff to direct traffic. Click here to view map. When you arrive to the event, you will be greeted by staff and volunteers who will give you a number for your bus based on the order that buses arrive. Please remember this special number.
PARKING FOR BUSES & OVERSIZED VEHICLES: Buses and oversized vehicles can park on Orchard Ave. and 20th St. (back of the school, by the football field). Departure / Boarding Time: 2-2:30PM

- Event Time: 9:00am - 2:00pm
- Location: West Adams Prep High School, 1500 W Washington Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90007
- You and your team can plan to arrive as early as 8:30AM to set-up your station
- Informal pre-judging will begin at 9:15AM
- Presentations and in-person judging will start at 9:45AM

- If you wish to have a bus arranged for your group, please let us know by 4/17/17. If you have already informed us previously, you do not to email us again.

- In order for us to reimburse your school for the cost of the bus, please email a copy of the invoice and your school's W9 (if you haven’t done so already from previous reimbursements). See billing info below:

CARS AND VANS: You may submit mileage reimbursement of up to 4 cars per team (including guests) if you wish to drive to the Expo. The standard IRS rate is $0.53 per mile. To submit a mileage reimbursement, we will need the following:

In the event that parking becomes full, there will be plenty of street parking available as well. There will be staff in the parking lot to direct you to the elevator or stairs that will take you to the main quad where the event will take place.
