 FINAL WEBSITES AND VIDEOS ARE DUE IN 2 WEEKS!
DUE MAY 5th, 2019 - Final Website and Video is due via Submittable  – the same platform you used to submit your Girls Build application. 
You can find everything you need to know to complete the Girls Build project on our Curriculum Page.

GET READY FOR THE AWARDS! 
We have also added how to get ready for the online virtual awards on May 23 here and will review again as we get closer.  In addition to team awards, there are individual scholarships available as well. Don't hesitate to apply. Due May 10th. 
  •   Senior High School Student Awards - open to SENIORS only - nominated by coordinator or self
  •   Middle School Student Award- Students! Nominate yourself or a  student on your team
  •   High School Student Award - Students nominate yourself or student on your team

SHOUT OUT TO: 
Daniel Webster Middle School - for updating their website to express their mission to bring greater awareness, to the mental and physical health of middle school students. 

Bronx.Bright - for their upcoming Blue Mullaly Light Show. Learn more about their
 mission and process to install street lighting that is both practical and eye-catching, for teens and all community members to feel safe along routes we hang out or commute. 

Equitas Academy #2 for building a partnership/relationship with local Downtown Los Angeles Children's Hospitals.

NEW THIS WEEK:

Change the Game
Deadline: June 7th
Audience: Ages 13-18 (must be US citizen or permanent resident,  and obtain parent/guardian permission)
Description:Change The Game is Google Play’s initiative to build a diverse future in mobile gaming. To empower the next generation of game makers, we invite teens to tap into their imagination and share their own game idea to the Change The Game Design Challenge.

The grand prize winner will receive a $15,000 college scholarship and $15,000 for their non-profit's or school's technology program. All five finalists will have their game ideas produced and launched on the Google Play Store, a VIP trip to LA  to showcase their game design, and a scholarship to Girls Make Games summer camp.
