FINAL WEBSITES AND VIDEOS ARE DUE ON SUNDAY!
DUE MAY 5th, 2019 - Final Website and Video is due via Submittable  – the same platform you used to submit your Girls Build application. 
You can find everything you need to know to complete the Girls Build project on our Curriculum Page. 

MAY 23 - GET READY FOR THE AWARDS!
Check out the details for the online virtual awards on May 23 here. We will be sending you a packet in the mail the week of May 10th with supplies to help you celebrate.

STUDENT SCHOLARSHIPS. Don't hesitate to apply. Due May 10th. 

•   Senior High School Student Awards - open to SENIORS only - nominated by coordinator or self
•   Middle School Student Award- Students! Nominate yourself or a  student on your team
•   High School Student Award - Students nominate yourself or student on your team

Some final advice:
Complete the Impact Report. This helps explain your progress and impact. Your responses will be sent back to you so you will have the information to copy and paste straight into your website to help explain your reach.

WHAT SHOULD WE ADD TO OUR WEBSITE? PRESENTATIONS, FLYERS, IMAGES?
Yes, add it all just be careful so that everything is organized as part of your story. What is the main event(s) you want to highlight? What are additional materials, activities, resources?
Whatever works for you. Look at past examples to get ideas.

EMBEDDING THE VIDEO

• Share video to Google Drive or YouTube on your phone and then capture URL (web address) to link on your website.
• Be sure video is shared with the public on Google Drive or Youtube.
• Process and Trim the Video - so it starts and stops on time.
• Get embed code for the video so that the video can play straight from your website.
  • Youtube: click share →embed → copy code.
  • Google Drive - Click the three vertical dots on upper right hand corner → open in new window → click three vertical dots →embed item → copy code.
• From Weebly basic Editor Drag the Embed Code(< />) found on the  left to the page → double click to insert html → paste embed code.​

LINKING THE VIDEO

• Once you have the URL for your video link it in your website. You can highlight any words and then hit the link icon on the top menu bar to paste in a URL (web address) from Website URL. 

• Deadline: May 5th at 11:59PM PST.
• We do recommend setting an internal deadline to complete the website by April 30th, and then give yourself a week to finish the video.
