And so it begins! From this point on, you will receive weekly emails with updates about the Girls Build Challenge. These newsletters are meant for Girls Build teams – funded or not – to discuss, share, and use as a resource for your project. Please feel free to share with your networks. Girls Build team members can sign up for the newsletters through this survey. Newsletters can also be accessed on our website (http://www.girls-build.org/newsletters). Surveys: Please fill out our Girls Build pre-surveys: Survey for students; Survey for Coordinator Media Releases: You are going to be documenting this challenge with photographs, videos, and interviews of all program participants. In order to facilitate this, we are asking project coordinators to collect signed media release forms from all team members and email a copy to [email protected] by November 12, 2018. On-Site Retreat: We have created an on-site Retreat packet for you to use with your team. We recommend taking a few hours to sit down and really start to plan with your team. The retreat materials also include directions to create your website, project plan, and budget – everything you need to turn in to us by December 15, 2018. You know your team best so you can customize and personalize the Retreat packet as you see fit! Webinar: Our first webinar will be Wednesday, November 14th, 2018 at 3:00pm. The topic will be Design Thinking: How to Get Started. We invite you and the team to join. It will also be recorded and shared with you if you can’t make it or want to listen again. Sign up here. Can't attend? You can still use the form to ask your questions for the call. We will also have returning coordinators share tips and their experience. Voter Registration Contest: Congratulations to all who participated in our contest. Collectively you registered over 3,000 people to vote from over 20 high schools around Los Angeles County. Stay tuned for our next contest around CS Ed Week! CHECK OUT THE ADDITIONAL ENGAGEMENT OPPORTUNITIES
